The Men's 13oz Dissident Selvedge Denim Jeans prioritise durability and a fit that develops its own character over time. Candiani weaves the 13.5oz raw Italian selvedge denim in Italy, and it ages into an individual patina with wear. Raw black denim, cut in a regular fit. Part of the Dissident range, a collection inspired by lower profile military fatigues and classic workwear, designed for everyday durability.
Candiani, the Italian mill behind this fabric, weaves it on a short-length shuttle loom. The process produces narrower widths of cloth than modern projectile looms, creating a tighter, denser weave that wears more slowly. The denim stays raw and unwashed, so the dye sits untouched on the yarn; it creases, fades and softens unevenly from the first wear, and each pair develops its own individual patina over time.
The construction focuses on stress points. A buttoned fly with branded metal buttons and belt loops secures the fit, while branded rivets reinforce the areas most exposed to strain. Double lining runs across the bottom half of the back pockets, where repeated wear is heaviest.
