BREACH JACKET
The Breach II Jacket is a heavy duty, 750 goose down fill, insulated jacket for sub-zero temperatures - reinforced with stronger than steel Kyoto Black Dyneema®. In a zip through design with hand warmer pockets and an insulated, helmet compatible hood. With a shorter, boxier fit perfect for layering over a base layer and/or fleece.
Pertex® Quantum Pro combines a tightly woven face fabric with a microporous coating to deliver a very high level of water resistance, whilst remaining lightweight, soft and breathable. Its structure also prevents down shedding, keeping as much insulation as possible within the baffles of the jacket. The fabric is high in tear strength and retains a high level of water repellency after repeated wash and wear. Now in a 100% recycled and PFC free construction, the Breach Jacket bears greater sustainability credentials than the previous model - all without compromising on performance.
At 15x stronger than steel yet half the weight of carbon fibre, Dyneema® is one of the strongest man made fibres on the planet. We've used a Kyoto Black Dyneema® blend to reinforce the shoulders on our Breach Jacket, an area that typically experiences greater wear and tear when carrying a backpack on expeditions.
The shorter, boxier fit of the Breach Jacket lends itself to being an ideal everyday layering option for colder climes and works well worn over a base layer and/or fleece in extreme cold. An adjustable, insulated hood with elasticated pull cord can be cinched tight to maximise heat retention. A raised neckline provides further face coverage in torrid conditions. Four external, micro fleece lined pockets, on the chest and waist provide both storage capacity and hand warming with an internal, zipped chest pocket and two stuff pouches for added measure. Elasticated cuffs keep the sleeves taut to the wrists, minimising cold ingress and an elasticated waist drawstring mitigates the same. With a two way, YKK Aquaguard® zip for added accessibility and oversized zip pulls for easy operation when wearing gloves or mittens. With bespoke ThruDark "wolf" camo liner.
