THRUDARK SUMMIT SUIT
Nims Purja MBE
ThruDark athlete and ex Special Forces operator Nims Purja MBE continues to raise the bar within the mountaineering community as he pushes the limits of physical and mental human performance. Nims began his audacious Project Possible mission by summiting Annapurna, one of the worlds most dangerous mountains standing at 8,091 metres tall. His next mountains included Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Kangchenjunga (8,586m), Everest (8,848m) , Lhotse (8,516m) and Makalu (8,481m). Summiting Everest, Lhotse and Makalu in under 48 hours breaking his previous world record AND carrying out two high altitude rescues during the process.
Nims is pictured here in the THRUDARK SUMMIT SUIT V2 at the lower end of The Hillary Step.
The Summit Suit will remain an ongoing project of perfection and one that stays closest to our hearts and heritage.
ON TOP OF THE WORLD
ThruDark ExPed Leader
Just twenty four hours after Nims stood on top the world, ThruDark Director and Expedition Leader, Jay Morton (pictured) also summited Mount Everest for his second time, successfully guiding 3 others with him.
Jay epitomises everything ThruDark stands for “ENDEAVOUR THROUGH ADVERSITY” and continues to push the envelope of what is achievable.
With 10 years Special Forces experience, he continues to test and develop the next generation of ThruDark products in the most challenging and extreme of environments.
These two monumental events also mark an exciting brand partnership bound by the highest mountain in the world. Both Nims and Jay also summited wearing the Osprey Aether Pro 70. A pack that’s designed with the highest level of outdoor pursuits and mountaineering in mind.
ThruDark join Osprey in a strong, long-term brand partnership yielding exciting expedition alliances and future product collaboration projects.
